The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) Limited is incorporated under the Companies Act of the Laws of Malawi. Its core business is to procure, transmit and distribute electric power in Malawi as well as managing System Market Operations and Single Buyer licensees in Malawi. ESCOM is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following temporary position within the Corporation.

Grade : ES13
Duration : 8 Months
Location : MEAP – South
Supervised by : MEAP Regional Coordinator – South
Purpose of the Job
To drive and look after ESCOM Vehicles.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
▪ Driving the Corporation vehicles
▪ Reporting of any motor defects to the relevant authority.
▪ Drive staff on official duties as assigned.
▪ Perform routine checks on the vehicle and carry out minor maintenance to ensure that the vehicle is in road worthy condition
▪ Update log books on daily basis
▪ Report accidents and any unauthorised use of the vehicle.
▪ Check validity of vehicle documents.

▪ Ability to manage time effectively in a high-pressure setting
▪ Be sober minded
▪ Physically Fit
▪ Ability to operate effectively both independently and as part of a team
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
▪ The ideal candidate must be a holder of Class C1 Driving Licence.
▪ Holder of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
▪ Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience.
