At a recent stakeholder dinner in Blantyre, OFC shared its growth vision, highlighting a pipeline of new projects designed to broaden its service portfolio beyond fibre and accelerate Malawi’s digital transformation.
The OFC Director said the ESCOM subsidiary company is now expanding its footprint directly into the enterprise and home markets, delivering high-speed, dependable internet closer to businesses and households.
“For us, the next phase signals OFC’s bold move into the digital services space, anchored by ourTier 3 Data Centre, which provides both physical colocation and cloud services enabling organizations to securely scale and leverage data-driven solutions,” Hara said, adding:
“With a clear mission and innovative solutions for academia, agriculture, healthcare, and commercial enterprises, OFC is poised to not just connect Malawi but to digitally empower it for the future.”
Taking his turn, MACRA Acting Director General, Mr. Mayamiko Nkoloma, reaffirmed the regulator’s support, emphasizing collaboration to fast-track these initiatives.
“We are looking forward to working with OFC and we assure of our support as a regulator in the communications industry,” said Nkoloma.
