2 Herbalists Arrested For Being Suspected of Using Transformer Oil to Cure Patients

Nkhata Bay Police Station Criminal Investigation Officer, Manuel Kafamveka, confirmed the arrest of 25-year-old Wale Nyirenda at a roadblock in Chiweta, Rumphi on Thursday, February 20, 2025, for allegedly being found in possession of five litres of transformer oil.

Police at Jenda in Mzimba arrested three individuals on Wednesday, March 5 2025, suspected of vandalising and stealing a transformer and a 19-metre copper wire for ESCOM Limited at Kavinkhama in the district.
