The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) Limited signed a 3 megawatts (MW) Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Raiply Malawi Limited on Monday, 8th September 2025, translating to a total of 371MW from six deals sealed since last year. ESCOM HANDS OVER HOUSES TO MOMA PROJECT AFFECTED HOUSEHOLDS

The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi ESCOM on Tuesday officially handed over seven houses to households affected by construction activities related to the Mozambique-Malawi Interconnection Project (MOMA) in Mwanza district. The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) Limited has connected 146,000 Malawians to the electricity grid as of June 27, 2025, through the World Bank-funded Malawi Electricity Access Project (MEAP), which has since been extended to December 2025.
