Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) Limited has donated K5 million to support this year’s Institute of People Management Malawi (IPMM) Annual Conference scheduled to take place from 23 to 25 October 2025 in Mangochi.
Speaking during a dummy cheque presentation ceremony in Blantyre on 20th October 2025, ESCOM Chief Human Resources Officer (Planning and Development), Mr. Richard Samba, said the Corporation is proud to partner with IPMM, recognizing the institute’s critical role in advancing the human resources profession in Malawi.
“We are delighted to support IPMM’s Annual Conference. The institute brings together HR professionals who play a vital role in training, developing, and motivating staff who are the very people who drive organizational success,” said Mr. Samba.
In his remarks, IPMM Executive Director, Mr. Willy Nkhoma, commended ESCOM for its consistent support towards the institute’s initiatives.
“ESCOM remains one of our key partners and has always been among the top-five organizations with the largest IPMM membership. We truly value this partnership,” he said.
Mr. Nkhoma further disclosed that ESCOM’s Director of Human Resources and Administration, Mr. Chrispin Banda, will be among the panelists at this year’s conference, where he will share insights on human capital development and organizational growth.
The conference, to be held under the theme HR Re-Imagined: Shaping the Future, will attract six keynote local and internal speakers. Outstanding HR practitioners will also be recognized during the conference.
