Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) Limited will implement load-shedding on Sunday, 24th March 2024 from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm due to hydropower supply deficit caused by maintenance works at Tedzani I, II, III and IV Power stations.
Due to this outage, available capacity from major hydropower plants will drop from 363.4 Megawatts (MW) to 263.20MW.
In the load-shedding programme below, customers are categorised in groups A, B and C. The coloured (PINK, YELLOW & GREEN) sections on the load shedding timetable show the periods in which customers will have electricity, while the dark (BLACK) sections show the periods customers will not have electricity.
