Cases of Vandalism in Chitipa and Dedza

Unknown people cut down three 11-metre poles on our line located between Kafere and Magomero in Dzalanyama Forest in Dedza District on the morning of Saturday, 23rd November 2024. An unidentified man electrocuted in Lilongwe City

An unidentified man has been electrocuted at Gravity Mall in Lilongwe City Centre in a suspected vandalism act gone wrong. Lingadzi Police Station Deputy Public Relations Officer, Maria Kumwenda, said they found the lifeless body of the man on the morning of Sunday, November 10 2024. A Lilongwe man will spend 12 years in jail after being convicted of impersonating, stealing and damaging the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi ESCOM) aluminium conductor for a customer’s new electricity connection.
