JICA-Funded Kanengo Substation to Accelerate Electricity Access

ESCOM to roll out reconfiguration of electricity prepaid meters from June 1 

In compliance with new international requirements for transfer of electricity prepayment tokens, Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) will from June 1 launch a Token Identifier (TID) project that will reconfigure all prepaid meters for customers. THREE MEN JAILED FOR 7 YEARS FOR VANDALISING ESCOM CABLES

Court convicts 3 over vandalism of ESCOM equipment Fazilla Tembo (Nyasa Times) Lilongwe Senior Resident Magistrate Court has convicted three men for vandalizing Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) equipment worth over K22 million. The equipment are four spans, high voltage oak line of 1, 200 metres long, of 100 millimeters each.
