Two men jailed for 30 months for possessing stolen ESCOM conductors

Two men have been sentenced to two-and-a-half-years imprisonment in Lilongwe following their conviction for possessing stolen electricity conductors at Kasiya in the district. The State Vice-President Dr Usi pays a surprise visit to ESCOM Ltd Head Office

The State Vice-President, Right Honourable, Dr. Michael Usi, paid a surprise visit to ESCOM Limited Head Office at Umoyo House in Blantyre on Friday, 26th July 2024 at around 10:00am to appreciate the Corporation’s operations in service delivery. The Vice-President visited the ESCOM CEO’s office before meeting ESCOM Chief Accountant Aurings Achinyama. The discussion lasted some 15 minutes and revolved around issues such as how electricity contributes to the development of the economy and also matters of service delivery.
